Well hello there!
How are you all? I hope you are having a nice day.
Here in Melbourne it's rainy, cool and overcast and I have been spending my morning catching up on some admin and doing computery things. It's really nice. I am so ready for it to be cool. The hot summer really got to me.
The purpose of this post is to ask YOU a question (or two)!
I am working on an editorial calendar for this blog and I would love to know:
What have you enjoyed
so far on The Squee?
I have been throwing around some ideas and I am wondering if you are enjoying hearing about what others are doing? Do you like the interviews and guest posts? Would you like to know what sort of posts will be appearing on different days of the week? Would you like to know what to expect from The Squee?
I know of bloggers that stick to a weekly schedule, for example:
Monday: Guest post
Tuesday: Recipe
Wednesday: Photo post
Thursday: Theme post
Friday: etc etc etc
Is that something you connect with? Or do you like a more random approach? If you have a blog, what approach do you take? Do you blog every day?
I have always blogged randomly but have reached a point where I want to be more intentional about the way I blog.
What would you
like to hear about?
I am interested in a lot of things. Cooking, craft, inspirational people, writing, feminism, social justice, parenting, music, creativity, blogging... and lots more. So far I have basically been sticking to featuring different people and things that have been making me excited and inspired but I am wondering:
Would you like me to post more personal reflections and thoughts?
Blogs I have had in the past have taken on the format of an online journal and I have intentionally avoided doing this here as I wanted it to be a more focused space, facilitating collaboration. But I really miss the community aspect of personal blogging so I think I would like to add in a personal journally/thoughts based post once a week.
I'm also starting to write some fiction. Would you like to read some?
I am very keen to hear your thoughts. Please hit me up in the comments or find me on Facebook and let me know what you think.
I want to read whatever you want to write, it's all about seeing to your passion seeping through your words!
ReplyDeleteI find as a blogger, that maybe 1 or 2 definite posts that people can look forward to each week otherwise I agree with Lila, as long as you write with passion-go for it xx
ReplyDeleteI love reading your words, imagining your voice as you're telling us stories!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this advice. I really appreciate it and despite not having responded to this yet (SORRY! Bad blogger friend), I have implemented some of that philosophy. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks KatyPotaty… and that is just about the cutest name ever.
